This Privacy Policy explains how XAPK to APK (operated at https://xapktoapk.com, hereafter "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website and use our online tools (including the XAPK to APK Converter, AAB to APK, APKS to APK, APK Info, APK Verifier, OBB Extractor, APK Signer, Icon Extractor, and App Icon Generator). By using our website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
We do not require account registration to use our tools. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us — for example, when you contact us via email (contact@xapktoapk.com) or through the Contact page. In that case we receive your email address and the contents of your message, used solely to reply to your enquiry.
1.2 Files You Process Through Our Tools
Our converter tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The Android package files (.xapk, .apk, .aab, .apks, .obb) you load are processed locally on your own device. We do not upload, copy, store, transmit, or retain any of these files on our servers. Once you close the browser tab, the files are gone from our system — because they were never on our system.
1.3 Information Collected Automatically (Log Data)
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server log data when pages are requested. This may include:
- IP address (truncated where required by law)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referring URL and pages visited on our site
- Date and time of the visit
- Approximate geographic region (country / region level)
This information is used for security, fraud prevention, debugging, and aggregate traffic analysis. It is not used to identify individual users.
1.4 Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. We and our advertising/analytics partners use cookies and similar technologies (local storage, web beacons, pixels) to:
- Remember your cookie consent choices and basic site preferences (e.g., theme).
- Measure aggregated traffic and improve performance.
- Deliver and measure advertisements (where applicable).
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some site features.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve our website and tools.
- To respond to messages you send us.
- To monitor and protect against abuse, spam, fraud, or security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
- To display advertising (see Section 3).
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Advertising — Google AdSense and Third-Party Vendors
This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
3.1 Google's Use of Advertising Cookies
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
3.2 Opting Out of Personalized Advertising
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time:
- Visit Google's Ads Settings to control how Google personalizes ads to you.
- Visit aboutads.info/choices (Digital Advertising Alliance) and youronlinechoices.eu (European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance) to opt out of third-party vendor cookies.
- Use your browser's "Do Not Track" or built-in privacy / cookie controls.
3.3 Third-Party Advertising Partners
The following third-party vendors may serve, deliver, or measure ads on this site, in addition to Google AdSense. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Advertising — policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Privacy Policy — policies.google.com/privacy
If additional ad networks are introduced, this list will be updated. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party advertisers before interacting with their ads.
4. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Any analytics tools we use are configured to anonymize IP addresses where supported and are used solely for aggregate performance and usability insights, not to identify individual users.
5. Your Rights Under GDPR (European Economic Area, UK, Switzerland)
If you are located in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
- Right of access — obtain a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your data.
- Right to restriction of processing — limit how we use your data.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time.
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g., your national Data Protection Authority).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@xapktoapk.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
5.1 EU User Consent (GDPR / ePrivacy)
For visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, we (and our advertising partners, including Google) request your consent before setting non-essential cookies and before using your data for personalized advertising. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie banner or the controls described in Section 3.2.
6. Your Rights Under CCPA / CPRA (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), provides you with these rights:
- Right to know what categories of personal information are collected and how they are used.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell personal information for money. To the extent that the use of advertising cookies is considered "sharing" under the CPRA, California residents may opt out via our cookie banner or by following the opt-out links in Section 3.2. Submit any CCPA / CPRA requests to contact@xapktoapk.com.
7. Children's Privacy
Our website is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA, where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete the information promptly.
8. Data Retention
We retain log data and contact correspondence only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Files processed through our tools are not retained at all because they never leave your browser.
9. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through our website (HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls on server logs, regular software updates). No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Data Transfers
Our hosting and third-party advertising partners (such as Google) may process data in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. Where required, transfers of personal data out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland are made under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms used by Google and other vendors.
11. Third-Party Links
Our site may link to external websites and services that we do not operate. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We recommend you review the privacy policy of every site you visit.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be notified through a prominent notice on the site. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
